Vipers Wrestling is a community-based organization with a geographic center in Columbia. It has been a Parks & Recreation program for over two decades. The Vipers' mission is to provide the youth of Howard County with the opportunity to experience the great sport of wrestling in a fun, structured, and disciplined program. The Vipers are coached exclusively by volunteers. Three levels of wrestling are offered (clinic, recreation and advanced). The clinic program offers children the opportunity to experience wrestling in a non-competitive environment. The recreation program is semi-competitive and the largest program in MD. The advanced program offers a competitive environment with the best youth wrestling training in Maryland. The program concentrates on the things we can control in the wrestling room: effort, discipline, focus, and mental & physical conditioning. It is all summarized in our name: Vipers is an acronym that stands for victory, intensity, pride, endurance, respect and success.
